Mr. Russell brings a long and diverse background in all phases of the medical equipment business to Neuisys.

Mr. Russell began his career as a Field Engineer at Siemens Medical Systems.  He progressed quickly from field and support engineer to district and regional management, assuming responsibility for eastern US service business and over 150 employees.  Shortly thereafter, he headed a national project to reorganize the entire Siemens service organization and service business in the US.  Mr. Russell acted as National Service Manager upon completion of this project until he transferred to the sales side of the business and was named National Sales Manager.  In this position, he was responsible for over 200 million dollars per year of revenue, and business strategies for all districts and national accounts.  After growing his business segment to over 450 million dollars per year, implementing several groundbreaking strategies, and providing significant guidance toward developing a National call handling / training facility for Siemens US, Mr. Russell  accepted a position with Alliance Imaging , a nationwide mobile MRI provider as Regional Vice President.

During this period with Alliance, Mr. Russell developed an understanding of clinical process, including in depth knowledge of the business of clinical imaging.  This was furthered during time spent with MedQuest, a large outpatient imaging center developer.  Mr. Russell was responsible for clinical operations for many clinics, and gained valuable knowledge of all aspects of clinical imaging from a customer’s / provider’s viewpoint.

Mr. Russell felt strongly that diagnostic imaging should and would move closer to the patient in the US.  The large facility / hospital model was proven to be burdensome to patients in both time and money spent to receive basic, but necessary ambulatory diagnostic imaging procedures.  It was his desire to provide new, more efficient diagnostic tools into the facilities of the doctors who needed them most.

Mr. Russell, along with several business partners founded Neuisys in 2004 and gained an exclusive agreement with Neusoft Medical Systems to sell, distribute, and service their systems, and systems produced by Philips Neusoft Medical Systems, a joint venture between Philips Medical and Neusoft, within the United States.

Mr. Russell has a very strong belief in customized, personal service to clients, and to deliver goods and services that are unparalleled in terms of relevance and quality. Neuisys was founded with these principals in mind, and the mission and driving force for Neuisys is providing new, technically advanced diagnostic imaging products for use in private clinics.

Joseph Jenkins MD, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Joseph Jenkins brings a unique blend of education, experience, and talent to Neuisys’s endeavor.  Most importantly, he has spent the last 20 years of his career helping private practitioners provide new technology that improves the quality of their patient’s care and the profitability of their practice.

Educated at the University of North Carolina for both undergraduate and medical school, Dr. Jenkins finished his Chief Residency in Urology in Chapel Hill in 1979.  He then entered the private practice of urology in Washington, NC, performing the second percutaneous nephrolithotomy carried out in NC.  Jenkins then helped pioneer the introduction of extra corporeal shock wave lithotripsy into NC and the US, with his closest urology colleagues.  After graduating from the UNC School of Law in 1990, Jenkins immersed himself in helping Lithotripters Incorporated develop lithotripsy partnerships with doctors all over the country.  After serving as President of Litho Inc, Dr. Jenkins became President and CEO of Prime Medical Services Inc, a publicly traded company based in Austin Texas.  He completed his corporate career as President of the Urology Division for Healthtronics Inc, which he left in Jan 2006.

Along the way, Dr. Jenkins has helped found the American Lithotripsy Society, leading its efforts to protect physicians’ rights to own and operate new technology that benefits patients.  He also led successful confrontations with HCFA, CMS, and the Federal Trade Commission in efforts to protect physician rights.  Furthermore, he served as the chief spokesman for the NC Medical Society from 2002-2004 in Professional Liability Reform efforts, again fighting for doctors’ rights.

Collectively, Dr. Jenkins’s medical, legal, and business expertise provide a valuable asset to both Neuisys and its clients.  He currently resides in Chapel Hill NC with his wife, Shipley.
